It is unbelieveably difficult to write any sort of coherent response taking a position you totally and wholly do not believe in.

AppleCare… not just good for PowerBooks. posted at 6:36 PM
computers

And this morning, the hard drive in the PowerMac decides to take a major dump.

It sucks, and I had to reinstall OS X on it, but at least I was able to mount the drive by booting the PowerMac from the hard drive in my PowerBook via firewire target disk mode, and save the important things. I *never* could have done that with Windows.

Even when it screws up, I love my Macintosh. :)

Now to go get a copy of Techtool Pro…

I am very, very pissed at certain people at work right now.

Suffice it to say, professionalism was thrown straight out the window.

If you want details, talk to me, just be aware that I might not want to talk about it.

From the desk of President George W. Bush

ProrioratsPrioritys

1. Screw over human rights for the next 25 years
2. Help people in Louisiana

I mean, fuck, couldn’t he at least given the ILLUSION that he cares about what’s going on down in Louisiana? He basically just came right out and said that people are dying, he doesn’t care, and that he was grateful for the distraction.

That may well be the case, but at least he could have waited a week and pretended like the thousands of dead (and still dying) in the Southeast mattered.

Accomplishments posted at 4:54 AM
school, work

Things I’ve managed to get done in the past two weeks:

  • Preside over my first ACDA meeting. Turnout sucked, but that’s because Esprit de Corps can’t make up their mind about who their meeting is supposed to be for.
  • Get admitted into teacher ed! Well, pending the results of my background check… *cough*
  • Officially “quit” Moonlight Express. They want me to wear a nametag? Fuck that. They obviously don’t need me that badly if they’re going to try and force me to do that.
  • Only skip one class. And that was just because I missed my bus, and it was physics besides, which is all review for me right now anyway.
  • Actually turn in every piece of homework due!
  • Somehow, in my complete and total lack of free time, do a load of laundry.
  • Make a pointless list in my blog of the things I did over the past two weeks.
