No MacBook for the next several days. *sigh* Oh well, at least the speaker won’t sound like a baby’s rattle when I get it back. ;)

John tipped me off to a new feature of Dreamhost’s rewards program. Now, if you enter promo code CMSPECIAL when signing up for hosting, you’ll get your first year of level 1 hosting for $5 a month. You can also use the code toward a $4.95/month discount on the first year of any prepaid hosting plan.

If you’re a friend of CrazyMusician, I can get you an even better deal… leave a comment and get ahold of me, and we’ll talk.

I’m beginning to wish I’d waited until the next generation… but that’s folly, so I’ll just link you to the article that describes how the Conroe architecture runs AMD into the ground performance-wise. I seriously started salivating when I saw this. And knew that Apple made the right decision.

5:14AM: Choice words as I finally drag my ass out of bed.
5:46AM: Depart home. Supposed to be at MH a minute ago.
5:50AM: Depart MH.
7:30AM: Try to unsuccessfully convince members of vehicle to NOT play hangman with the other car.
8:30AM: Arrive, register, miss most of first (very good) concert.
9:00AM-6:30PM: Non-stop menagerie of concerts, sessions, and meals.
6:45PM: Arrive at hotel. Room not ready. WTF, mate?
7:15PM: Finally get into room.
8:00PM: St. Cecilia’s cathedral in Omaha for the Peace Event. The most heart-wrenching concert I’ve ever experienced. Just… wow.
10:30PM: Back to hotel.
11:00PM: Go watch Elyse and Shelby get slightly *cough* drunk off of large martinis.
12:00AM: Bedtime, maybe?

It’s been a looooooonng day.
