So, Maggie and I went and saw Cars last night. While it definitely isn’t the best film Pixar has ever made, it’s definitely still Pixar quality. Besides that, the short and the credits clips were worth the $6.50 by themselves
With my new job, I find myself a bit more closely supervised. I find it likely that I’ll post about work a lot here, as the days will be far more interesting and eventful than they were driving. However, I’m concerned I may say something that will draw the ire of somebody without realizing it.
So, I’m going to begin using WordPress’s password-protect feature on work-related posts. I’ll use the same password on all of my work posts; if you would like this password, leave a comment and I’ll get it to you.
29 days and counting. Starting to get a little stressed. I just want stuff to be taken care of; the things that need to be done are really starting to wear on me and Maggie, and some people we thought we could rely on are proving otherwise. *sigh*
Oh well. At the end of the day we’ll be married, and that’s what matters, right?
A couple of you (whoa, two people read this?) commented on the ambiguousness of my last post. I made the post right after I finished my dispatch interview, which I didn’t think had gone terribly well. I thought it would be pretty obvious what I was talking about, but then I realized I hadn’t even posted in this blog that I was attempting for the job again (for the curious, this was my third attempt).
Monday during my shift, one of the supervisors called me into her office and (after attempting to joke around with me and nearly giving me a heart attack ;)) offered me the job. Today, the decision has been made public, so I’m free to share it with all of you.
I’m really excited, as this is the first new job (although the same organization) that I’ve had in more than three years. It’s going to be challenging, another thing I’m looking forward to; driving a bus was starting to get kind of boring and repetitive.
So, you probably won’t see me driving a bus much anymore… but if you call, I might be the one answering the phone… if your bus stop is closed, I might be the one that posted the sign… if you miss your transfer, I might come out and pick you up. I’ll be doing some of the behind the scenes work at CyRide that keeps things running smoothly, and I’m really looking forward to it.

Everybody that complained about New Super Mario Bros. being too short or too easy can officially stuff it, since they obviously just tried to find the quickest path through the game while avoiding all of the secret goodies.
New Super Mario Bros. fills a hole in my gaming life I never knew existed.
