So, after many long years of faithful functionality (even after being dropped multiple times), the old PowerBook G4 that Maggie was using finally bit the dust when the tip of the power adapter broke off and got stuck in the power port.

Thankfully, we were preparing for just such an eventuality, and today I came home from Des Moines with a nice shiny white MacBook for her.

And so ends the era of the computer budget. Oh well, at least we’re both up-to-date now.
