Well, I’ve spent a little quality time with Windows Vista the past couple of days, now that Boot Camp supports it. For the most part, it’s a big fat “meh.” As far as the software applications go, there’s nothing really new or innovative. Flip3D is useless at best. However, I think the visuals trump Mac OS X, and I think I prefer Microsoft’s “dashboard” implementation, which is an always-on sidebar where gadgets are neatly lined up on one side and ready to be used without any key presses, unless you happen to have a window obscuring them. I think that approach works especially well with widescreen displays.
I’ll be playing around more with it in the coming days, including installing World of Warcraft in Vista and checking out the performance there.
I would be up for it… unfortunatly I might have to cheer for the Wolves… an previous NMU player (N. Oystric) plays for them, and the stars have a lot of past Michigan Tech players (major rivals with NMU) on their team. But still, its a game of hockey!
Awesome. We can talk about it on Sunday. Attendance has been in the ~2000 range for the first round, 17000 seat arena, so I’m not exactly concerned about finding seats
