Maggie and I will be hosting a New Years/belated graduation party at our place on Monday night. We’re going to do a semi-potluck; Maggie and I will cook up a crock pot of chili, and you folks bring something to go along with it, a snack or side dish or dessert or whatever. We’ll have plenty of Diet Coke and Diet Mt. Dew to drink, if you want something else make sure to bring it. John will be providing the bubbly.

We’ll have the Wii set up, if you happen to think of it bring extra Wiimotes and whatever other controllers are needed, and games too! I’m going to grab Mario Party 8 beforehand, but we don’t have much else for multiplayer on the Wii. Also set up for movies and whatnot, and if anybody has any fun board games they’d like to bring, we’ll have a surface to play those on too.

(Also John, feel free to invite Sheng and Brett if they don’t have anything else to do, I don’t have their contact info and I highly doubt they read this).

Maybe post a comment with what kind of foodstuff you’ll be bringing so we don’t have duplication.

(Oops, forgot to hit save earlier… also, if you need directions to our place just get ahold of me).

Maggie got me a Wii as a graduation present!

Super Mario Galaxy = Best. Game. Ever.

Anybody want a GameCube? No games or controllers, original power cable and video cable + a 3rd-party S-Video cable, and the Gameboy Player?

Dear Apple,

Your word-processing and page layout program, Pages, is a fine example of software that is powerful, yet easy to use. You market it to people that need to get things done–home users, semi-professionals, and professionals alike. However, there is one small flaw in your program that will continue to affect its adoption in the marketplace until it is rectified.

Namely, as long as the risk still remains of losing more than 5-10 minutes of work at a time in the event of a crash, it is essentially useless to anybody who actually needs to get things done. Until an autosave feature is implemented, I can no longer feel comfortable using your program to do anything of any importance.

Sincerely,
Nick Meyer.

I just took the last hard test of my undergraduate career. All I have left are a 4-page French paper and a multiple-choice test over the non-signing material in Sign Language.

10 more days.
